Well, It's been a while since I last uploaded anything... the dozen or so pieces I've given up on half way through will tell you it's not been because I haven't been working on anything!

What I've been doing is trying to learn how to actually use Illustrator the way I want to be able to use it. One thing I keep coming back to is that I desperately need to learn to draw (Shock!). Something I've been trying to move away from is simply tracing stock images (it's really hard to find good pictures anyway most of the time...) And so that's what I'll be doing,learning to draw. I don't expect much I do at this point to be worth posting, I may toss up a small picture from time to time but don't expect anything on a large scale from me.

There won't be anything new from me until June because I'll be in Europe!

How have I never tried to learn PS before? working on a pic now and it's definitely a whole different ballgame than Illustrator, but the effect is also totally different. Might have to do a vector version of the same thing at some point if I've got the time

Anyway, expect to see more digital painting style pics than vector art for a little bit

Well, school's done ( ) but that hasn't kept me from being busy! I'm going to be leaving for Europe on the 17th so naturally there's a ton to do before then (book places to stay, get rail passes, plane tickets etc).

On top of all that my lease is up this month so I need to move out before the 17th... so that's also taking up a lot of my time. Anyway thanks for stopping by, hope there's something new for you to see soon

I haven't been this productive probably... ever!

Spend a good solid 6-9 hours on campus working on maps in illustrator only to come home and relax by... drawing stuff... in illustrator... On the plus side I think I know the program pretty well now, considering tossing together a portfolio to try and grab a design job (urban design would be best... seeing as that's what I'm getting a specialization in with this degree of mine - that I'll be done so soon!).

Thinking of being done school has gotten me thinking about summer... which has gotten me working on a new picture. This will be very different from my last piece as I'm going for a much less detailed more stylized look & easy-going summery feel. Also trying to get a good grasp of various brushes (especially the water colour library). I'm as curious as anyone to see how it will turn out! (still not sure how I'm going to tackle the people I've got planned for it... )

Hopefully I'll be able to keep this up - next two weeks are going to be crazy busy though - We'll see.
